I work with men of all ages. I train boys that are as young as 12 and men around the age of 85 who are still young at heart. As men get older, our testosterone naturally lowers at a slow rate. Occasionally, some men have lower levels than they naturally should. It’s not uncommon to see advertisements for low Testosterone (Low T) doctors that are able to help men with low testosterone. Low T affects about 40% of men aged 45 and older which could be due to a few factors.

What Causes Low Testosterone?

Low testosterone is a condition where the testicles do not produce enough testosterone. What causes men to have to deal with low testosterone?

  • Injury that causes less blood flow to the testes
  • Chemotherapy
  • Some medications
  • Alcohol abuse
  • Obesity
  • Uncontrolled type 2 diabetes
  • Previous anabolic steroid abuse

What Are The Symptoms of Low Testosterone?

Symptoms that are common when dealing with low testosterone are:

  • Low libido
  • Depression
  • Sleepless nights
  • Fatigue
  • Increased body fat
  • Male breast development (Man Boobs)

If you think you have some of these symptoms, don’t ignore them. Contact a physician that can help you with these issues. A physician will be able to see what the problem could be and can definitely get you back to feeling like a young man again!

It Happens to All of Us

Male clients that have expressed some of their issues have all been dealing with the same thing. In the gym, some can’t lift as heavy. Some can’t make it through 18 holes of golf.  Some are so fatigued that by early afternoon they’re spent and ready to lay it down where they may be. Some have expressed issues in the bedroom with their libido. As a man, it’s hard to deal with things like this.

Most of the guys that have talked to me about it are kind of embarrassed and don’t really want to talk to anyone about it. Well you aren’t alone if you are dealing with things like this. If you take care of this, you will feel like a new man!

Benefits of Testosterone Therapy

There are many benefits of feeling like this new man by going through testosterone therapy. Here are some of these potential benefits:

  • Loss of body fat
  • Increased body density
  • Improved libido
  • Better focus
  • More energy
  • More muscle and better physical performance

Try Increasing Your Testosterone Naturally

There are ways you can try to increase testosterone naturally. For example, regular exercise and resistance training of large muscle groups can help you boost your testosterone levels.

You can also eat healthier and try to lose weight. Once you lose the extra pounds, especially around your midsection, your body can make more testosterone.

Have Questions? Check With Your Doctor!

If you have a problem naturally increasing your testosterone levels, you might want to contact your physician about testing your levels and seeing if hormone therapy is right for you. If you are suffering from symptoms of low testosterone, don’t hesitate to get checked out.  You are not alone and you should be pleased with the positive effects that could be coming your way!
